Feline Leukemia (FeLV) is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system, making them more susceptible to illness. But with good nutrition, an indoor-only life, and plenty of affection, many FeLV+ cats live very happy lives. More importantly, they bring the same positive love and joy to their family’s lives as other cats. We believe they deserve that chance.
FeLV is only contagious to other cats, not to people, dogs or other animals. Therefore, cats who are FeLV+ should be the only cat in the home, or live only with other FeLV+ cats.
There’s nothing negative about an FeLV+ cat.
Adoption fees for these cats have been covered by a grant from Lil BUB’s BIG Fund for the ASPCA.
