Sweet Miss Millie has become quite the assistant at the shelter. She loves hanging out with the staff in the morning while they attend to the cats in the lobby. Then at noon she goes on duty greeting each visitor as they come in.
We think she is secretly checking out each family to see if they would give her a good home.
You see, Miss Millie is going to need just the right family. One that will be kind and gentle and help her get around. She has some nerve damage in her spine and has trouble using her hind legs.
Millie has been working really hard to use her back legs and can walk, but she just doesn’t have complete control and sometimes her back-end will sway to one side. The vet assures us she is not in any pain and she does not need to be on medication. The vet also thinks that Millie could improve over time.
Millie is great with cats and loves to be around people.
Millie is house-trained and enjoys going out for walks. She will make a great companion for a low-key family.
