Our Purpose and Philosophy
Brown County Humane Society operates the only animal
shelter in Brown County, Indiana and is a trusted and
respected community resource. Because of the effectiveness
of our nationally recognized programs, we lead by example,
educating other regional shelters and the community.
We have a save rate of over 98%. We don’t euthanize due
to space or time constraints. We treat every animal as an
individual. Our goal is a community where all animals are
valued and treated with respect.
In other words, Little Shelter. Big Results.
