Like many organizations, we are closely monitoring the progression of the COVID-19 virus and its effects on our health and safety. In compliance with the recommendations of the State Board of Health, we feel it necessary to limit public visitations temporarily.
We are a community organization that is dedicated to helping both animals and people and we will continue to do so. However, in the interest of everyone’s safety we will be limiting our operations to appointments only until further notice.
Before visiting the shelter for any reason (adopting, surrendering or redeeming an animal) please call the shelter first at (812) 988-7362 and setup a scheduled time to visit. If staff is unable to answer, please leave a message and we will call you back.
We generally love our visitors who simply want to interact with animals. However, we find we all have a social responsibility to do our best to keep our staff, volunteers and community safe. Which means we simply aren’t able to accommodate extra visitors at this time.
As soon as we are able, we will go back to regular hours and business as usual.
