Dear Fam,
When you come to the shelter and look in my kennel, you’ll probably see a big lump under the blanket. That’s me! My name is Sapa. As a senior lady, about 10 years old, I enjoy my cat naps, snuggling under my blanket. And don’t tell anyone, but I have a bit of a tummy (don’t we all, girls!) but my gorgeous black fur hides it well. (Yes, I am proof that black is slimming!) I’m not crazy about living with other cats, but as long as they give me space to sleep in the sunshine or to watch birds, that’s okay with me. I’d like to live out my golden years by showering my new family with love every day. What do you say, want to give this older gal a chance?
I hope to meet you soon!
Love, Sapa

Dear Future Family,
While here at the Brown County Animal Shelter, I am acquiring some very valuable skills like loose leash walking. I am a true Brown County Mixed Breed, (as I do have some Pit Bull and Cattle dog in me to be exact) and I am on the smaller side, but my size is inversely proportionate to the amount of affection that I show my caretakers. I think of myself as a lap dog even though there is a bit of "hangover." I may look plain to some, but I was told at an adoption fair that I was actually quite handsome, and they were surprised at how laidback I was—for a teenager. Everyone is talking about how quickly I learn things (especially if there is a treat involved!) and I’ve made so many friends here. There is only one thing that bothers me…here at the shelter, I share a kennel with my Mom....and every guy knows that you can't live with Mom forever! I need a place I can call my own. I am ready when you are to go home.
Love, Scotty
